Amanda is a ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist licensed in Texas, Certified Breastfeeding Specialist, and the founder of Therapy Adventures, PLLC. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, graduating with honors, and a Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology from The University of North Texas. She has worked as a speech therapist in schools, outpatient and inpatient hospital settings, home health, and early intervention. She founded Therapy Adventures in 2021 to actualize her dream of creating a more interactive, supportive, and family-centered pediatric therapy clinic. Amanda has extensive experience with children ages 0 - 5 treating pediatric feeding disorders, breastfeeding and bottle-feeding difficulties, orofacial myofunctional disorders, and tethered oral tissues. She also has a specialized experience in articulation/speech sound disorders, apraxia, and phonological processing disorders. Amanda is a life-long learner, six-time recipient of the Award for Continuing Education (ACE) from The American Speech-Language Hearing Association, and a mentor to her colleagues.
